Our Services Residential

The Veteran-Owned Approach

We are a veteran-owned and operated company. This means we bring discipline and precision to every job. Our founder, Danny Bass, served in the military for nine years. Six of those years were with the 202 RED HORSE Civil Engineering Squadron. That experience shaped our drive for teamwork and strong results. We bring that same mindset to every inspection.

OUR STORY

Our Journey from 1983 to 2025

Our roots date back to 1983 in the construction field. Danny Bass spent many years learning about structures and codes. He later became a Certified General Contractor in 2005. He worked on commercial and residential projects in Lake and Sumter County, Florida. This work gave him a deep view of the building process. In 2015, Danny chose to switch gears and move into building inspections. He served Lake County, Sumter County, and Fruitland Park, FL. By 2019, he was the Building Official for the City of Fruitland Park. In 2021, he co-founded InspectFL LLC. Then, in 2025, he formed DBC Services as a DBA of Danny Bass Construction Inc. Our story shows how each step prepared us for private provider inspections.

Why Private Provider Inspections Matter

Private provider services allow builders to choose an independent inspection team. That team checks compliance with local and state requirements. This can help reduce delays and speed up approvals. At DBC Services, we guide you through each step of the inspection process. We review plans. We watch for errors. We work with all parties to keep projects on track. Our goal is smooth progress without cutting corners.

The Meaning of Florida Statute F.S. 553.791

We follow Florida Statute F.S. 553.791 to ensure our work meets state guidelines. This law sets clear rules for private provider reviews and inspections. It allows qualified firms to act in place of local building departments. This can lower wait times for plan approvals. It can also free local agencies to focus on other tasks. DBC Services keeps your project in line with these standards.

The People We Serve

We welcome many types of clients:

  • Homeowners: People building or remodeling their dream homes.
  • Property Managers: Those who oversee condos, apartments, or other large complexes.
  • General Contractors: Firms handling large-scale projects that need steady inspection support.
  • Construction Firms: Teams seeking a reliable partner for plan reviews and site checks.

We also work with trade professionals who need alternative plan reviews. This includes owner-builders who want expert help. Our clients appreciate our balanced approach. We enforce codes while helping move projects forward.

Our Commitment to the Industries we serve

How We Help Homeowners

Homeowners often feel overwhelmed by permits and codes. Our job is to break things down. We explain each step. We check your plans and ensure they follow local rules. This protects your property from hidden flaws. It also helps you feel more secure about your investment. If you ever have concerns, we are here to address them.

How We Help Property Managers

Property managers juggle a range of tasks. They handle leasing, maintenance, and resident needs. Adding construction or upgrades can complicate things more. Our inspections help you avoid headaches. We ensure each improvement meets local codes. We catch issues that might cause safety risks down the line. With our support, you can focus on other duties while we handle the inspection phase.

How We Help General Contractors

General Contractors must keep many moving parts in sync. That includes labor, materials, and daily schedules. Private provider building inspections can save time. We reduce back-and-forth with local offices. We also spot code concerns early. This prevents costly rework and project delays. Our team knows how to talk with your crew without slowing them down.

How We Help Construction Firms

Construction Firms often tackle big projects. Many need in-depth code checks. At DBC Services, we have decades of experience in the construction sector. We know what to look for and how to flag problems. Our plan reviews are clear and detailed. Our site inspections are thorough. Our findings help you maintain top quality across each project phase.

Danny Bass: The Driving Force

Danny Bass has been in construction since 1983. He served in the military and later became a Certified General Contractor. He oversaw projects across Lake and Sumter County. He then shifted to building inspections in 2015. That move allowed him to apply his construction expertise in a new way. His role as a Building Official for Fruitland Park in 2019 expanded his knowledge. Later, he co-founded InspectFL LLC in 2021. DBC Services was formed in 2025 as a DBA of Danny Bass Construction Inc. This new endeavor was born out of Danny’s passion for private provider work.

Our Veteran-Owned Edge

Being veteran-owned is more than a label. It reflects our spirit. It also shapes our work ethic. Military life instills respect for procedures and protocols. That same mindset drives how we handle each inspection. We understand deadlines. We value clear steps. We believe in accountability at every phase.

The Role of Teamwork

Inspection work demands teamwork. We partner with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and local officials. Each has a role to play in meeting code standards. We make sure everyone stays informed. If a design change is needed, we communicate it clearly. We see ourselves as part of your extended team, working toward the same goal.

Our Growth and Future

DBC Services continues to adapt to changing building requirements. We remain informed on new code updates at the state and local level. We also invest in tools and training for our inspectors. This keeps our work efficient and accurate. We plan to expand our reach to more counties and municipalities. Our hope is to support a wider range of clients who value reliable inspections.

Commitment to Long-Term Partnerships

We don’t view inspections as a one-time affair. We see them as part of an ongoing partnership. We want to assist you across multiple projects. We strive to build trust in every interaction. Whether you need an inspection for a simple renovation or a large-scale commercial project, we treat every job with the same care. Our team wants you to feel supported from start to finish.

Education and Guidance

We believe in sharing our knowledge with clients. Building codes can be tricky. We break them down to make sure you understand each step. Our site visits include brief explanations of what we check and why. If something needs correction, we explain how to address it. We keep our language simple, so you don’t feel lost in technical details.

Avoiding Unnecessary Delays

Time is money in construction. Delays can lead to cost overruns and lost business. Private provider building inspections help you avoid bottlenecks. We schedule site visits and plan reviews to keep your project on track. We understand the urgency behind each phase. Our prompt feedback helps you correct any issues quickly.
